I
have uploaded my web site files, but I still see
a "Under Construction Page" when I go
to my domain name, Why? |
|
|
| |
You will have to rename your index.html page, and upload your
files to that page. Or your home page is set to index.html
you will have to rename it to index.htm. You will need to
upload all your web files to the /www folder in your domain.

Why
aren't my images showing up on my web site? |
|
|
| |
There is a couple reasons this could be happening. One, if
you have moved your web site from a Windows Host, then you
most likely have spaces in your file names, such as wedding
picture.gif, on a Unix system, you cannot have spaces in file
names, so you will have to rename wedding picture.gif to weddingpicture.gif.
Two, Make sure your images have been uploaded
to your /www folder, if you have created a separate folder
they will need to be moved into the /www folder.
Three, make sure the URL that you are calling in your browser
is pointing to your pictures, and the directories are setup
correctly in the /www folder. For example if you have a folder
called images in the /www folder, you will need to link the
picture to http://www.yourdomain.com/images/weddingpicture.gif

I
am able to receive emails, but I cannot send emails? |
|
| |
This is a very common issue, and it has to do with either
your personal firewall, or your ISP, meaning your Internet
Service Provider does not allow you to use an outbound, SMTP
server. Since you have configured your mail servers for POP
and SMTP as mail.YOURDOMAIN.Com your ISP does not allow you
to use your own SMTP server, in this case you will need to
contact your ISP, and ask for their "SMTP Server",
which will be something like smtp.mail.rcn.net or other.
