Uploading Your Web Site

You can follow these Video Tutorials to learn how to upload your web site via FTP, MS FrontPage, and DreamWeaver.

However you choose to connect to your web hosting account, you will need the following information:

- Username

If you are going to upload your files via FrontPage, or you have designed your web site via MS FrontPage, you will need to log into your control panel and install FrontPage Extensions. This can be done very easily, by clicking "MS FrontPage" in your hosting control panel. The process takes 10 minutes, and is fully automated.

Folder Structure
yourdomain-logs - Daily and archived/compressed raw access log files
yourdomain-mail - Mail area for your domain (no need to touch this!)
yourdomain-secure - same as the WWW folder
yourdomain-webmail - Sent mail storage for webmail
yourdomain-www - same as the WWW folder
www - "Public" directory - where your site files will go

Never DELETE ANY OF THE FOLDERS ABOVE

Upload all your web site files to the /www folder. Once you have uploaded all your web site files and pages, you will want to name your home page, index.html. This is out how system is setup. If you have uploaded your web site and your home page still says page under construction, this is because you have not removed the current index.htm under construction page in your /www folder.

You want to make sure you hit refresh after uploading all your files in your browser, to reset all cookies.
